I just hope they dont relax the requirements. If women want to be a Seal, then they have to pass the same tetsts as the men.

Don't know how Boot Camp is in the Navy today, but when I went in, it was a picnic compared to what I was doing before enlistment. Working as a dock hand for a trucking company.

MCPO. Boot was ok. I had the added burden of being on the Drill team though so in addition to what was required to pass Boot. I had to do all the drill stuff every day. we performed at Sea World and three graduations including our own. The Drill Team Instructor use to make us run a mile at high port arms if we started doing the drills too fast. He figured that would slow us down...LOL He was correct

Boot Camp was Fun, but I am a glutton for punishment anyway. San Diego is the Arm Pit of the world. You wake up and its below freezing and by noon its above 100 degrees, and you don't run back to the barracks to throw your foul weather gear on your bunks since you don't need it any more. My only bitch was this was when Congress was cutting Operational Funds so we never saw the Firing Range. Did not shoot a single round. The Physical standards were tight though. LOTS of running, We had SEALS from over at North Island putting us through the paces, LOTS of PT. Damn it was fun! But when your father is a Seabee, you know what to expect and are ready for the mind games.

Has anyone considered this, if the ISIL people are radical muslims, and they do believe women to be inferior, sending a platoon of Female SEALS on one side with a platoon of Female Rangers on the other side would be a humiliation that would only be topped by the operators using ammo with pigs blood on it to guarantee that when they die they die knowing that they were bested by women, and have no way of going to paradise. That would be a beautiful victory.

Remember what Rush Limbaugh often spoke about? Making a Platoon of Female Rangers and when they all get their "cycles" together, Call them the Amazon Battalion, send them into combat at the right time, aint no fordce on the face of the earth could stand up against them. (or would want to) and against the islamic extremists, it would be perfect, just fly over the battle field and dump a a few cases of "Always" winged pads onto the area the extremists are held up. This will gross them out first out and then let loose the women. and make sure they make a lot of noise so everyone knows that they are being attached by women. It would be icing on the cake if the Amazon Battalion could attack in Bikinis but the FLAK vests and ammo belts would cover most everything and defeat the purpose of the bikinis. So as a plan B send over some Vietnam Era C-160's outfitted with spray nozzles that were used with Agent Orange but fill the drums with Bacon Grease, before the attack. A little Chemical Warfare of the delicious kind, to whet their appetite.

GySgt Wayne A. Ekblad Truthfully, I have not met many females who are jumping up and down at the ability to go SEAL.

For those that are, my advice is: give 110% and even if you don't pass you have nothing to be ashamed of, at least you tried which is more than majority of both men and women have done. But like most SEAL hopefuls you should probably look up any local EOD or special forces groups and see if you can get on their PT regime. This will help you get ready physically as well as mentally for the training before you are scheduled to ship out. I have seen many males do this and credit lasting longer (if they fail out) or even giving them the edge they needed to push through.
