The raise Congress proposed for themselves was higher than 2.5%. I am trying to understand why they deserve a higher increase. Need an explanation for this.

Every year they want more and more money but don't want to pay people who have actually served this country more money, it blows my mind.

Simply confirmation they are in it for themselves not the people they are supposed to serve. I know a Market Manager that offered to give up his pay increase so his people would get one when the corporation was not giving raises to store people

The official VA COLA increase 2025 is 2.5%, effective January 2025: Starting in January 2025, veterans will see a 2.5% increase in their monthly VA disability compensation benefits.

I think they need to match Congress's 21% pay increase for inflation. 2.5% is a slap!
