Lot's of jobs being created to build those things. We get to turn over our weapons systems and ordinance with newer ones. We degrade a significant threat and we get to be on the right side of a war. OMG, win, win all around.

Win what, exactly? More tension with Russia, China, North Korea, et al? And for all the innocent lives on both sides sacrificed on the altar of the almighty Military Industrial Complex? What do we tell their loved ones, "It was a win, win all around?"

MAJ Montgomery Granger - Just give him the Sudetenland and he will stop?

Ukraine was invaded by a hostile nation, one that BTW is continually attacking us non-militarily as well as constantly threatening its neighbors conventionally. Do you think if we were invaded by a hostile nation we would just accept the argument from people who promised to help us, "oh just roll over as it's inconvenient for us if you fight back or for us to help you like we promised..."? This is why no one trusts us when we make promises. We didn't start this and all the victim blaming in the world isn't going to change that.

We had a country that was a constant threat to her neighbors. They were in the Trump presidency too (Wagner actually attack our troops in 2018 and there is good reason to believe Russia was behind it). Not only have we stopped them from succeeding when they followed through militarily, we have removed them as an active military threat to any other neighbors for probably a decade. This is what we should have done early with the mustache guy before he metastasized. So yes, a huge, huge win. No WW III because there is no longer a credible conventional military threat from them.
