How in the heck is it going to take over 2 years to refurb a Dining Facility?
It would take a real knucklehead to allow that kind of time frame. Wait!! Was Walz in on this?

Seriously, that is not good, especially if the folks that depend on the Dining Facility have not gotten BAS yet.

If they closed the chow hall they put everyone who was on meal plan on separate rats and BAS...They will be okay and probably better off...Chow halls aren't what they used to be.

There is NO excuse ever for not operating and maintaining dinning Halls for Young single troops. This seems to be too much of a trend and far too many Bases. Eating at dining halls had always been far superior to forcing them into fast food for example where even the prices of that are getting out of reach. Some current Air Force base closed and NEVER reopened Mess Halls and one result is young troops now not eating properly far too often. They can't afford to.

There are good alternatives. In fact I'm going to make McDonald's a regular stop from now on!
