US Army Pacific to absorb new units under ‘transformation’ mantra

Perhaps I'm just a dinosaur, but that article (and the one it linked to) seem to be word salad about having a new name for a theater-level high-tech unit focused on theater-level ISR working with some not-quite-real-yet precision strike missiles.

All the tech stuff makes sense to be doing, but I wonder why all this "multi-domain" capability is being pitched as an Army initiative not a Joint initiative and joint unit. Hopefully either I missed something or this is the Army press release version that just didn't mention anyone else.

Well, let's hope if push comes to shove, this idea works.
