I have Tinnitus 24/7 and in the past few years it seems to have gotten louder and I get Migraine headaches more often which I think are triggered by my Tinnitus. I'm taking Sumatriptan for my Migraines and it helps with relief but I'd be happier if I didn't get them at all.

The VSO at my county office has told me I cannot file for Disability for Migraines Secondary to Tinnitus, has anyone else run into this?

My experience with Tinnitus has been that they don't want to do anything after giving you the 10% for Tinnitus. I've went through all the rule changes and the new Clinical Guidelines, but since they don't have a method of quantitatively rating the "level", for all the pages of information in both reports, it still means that they can't treat it or tell the severity, so there really isn't anything new for the patient.

I'm in your category. chronic tinnitus, constant buzzing sound 24/7. Sitting here at the Computer, it's a distraction, but I can "tune" it down if I am occupied. If not, it's there. White noise masks it enough to sleep, but it's always there. The hearing aids take care of my hearing loss, but tones in the same "range" as the tinnitus are still masked.

I am afflicted with same, but my experience was different, my duty station was in a secure block house similar to a prison. ,In those days, We were just coming into the transfer of radar data, to our offsite, building at RENO NV, via microwave towers, long story short I was stationed there on the mountain for 24 months, before rotation. Our duty station was so loud that we had to talk over the loud roaring electrical sound from the power needed for our radars, that was 1960.thru 1962. I have suffered thru that & loss of hearing since then. I did have a TEXAS VETS personnel call me one day, & She said, that I should file another claim for my deafness, because she could see on my file that my right ear was deaf as a stone, but my hearing aids help out some.

Mine is constant, sometimes almost like a siren and seems to be triggered by loud ouside noises. The really difficult thing is trying to make people, like tenants, understand if they want to contact me they have to text.
