Offshoring Human Rights: Detention of Refugees at Guantánamo Bay -
MY SAY: Imagine an INVADER to you home complains about conditions? This is absurd. In fact, refugees who stupidly make it to the US Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, are treated with dignity and respect. Most other countries would turn them away or harm them. These made it to Canada, not in spite of the US, but because of the US.

You know the Constitution applies to everyone on US soil right? Citizen or not.
Also there have been multiple human rights violations at Guantanamo.
Torture, indefinite detention (heldl without charges or trials for years, some over 20 years and many detainees there are innocent), force feeding, medical abuse, rectal feeding, cultural and sexual humiliation, prolonged hooding, enemas...
The international community has widely agreed Gitmo violates human rights law on different occasions. It should be closed. Torture is useless, pointless and doesn't get any credible information from the person being interrogated. At some point, everyone is going to break and give their captors what they want to hear. Even if it's not true.
