If the countries that have "socialized medicine" are such great systems, they need to explain why people come here from around the world to seek medical treatment here. No one I know is running to Britain, Canada, or Germany for their regular health needs. They go outside the US for experimental treatments or to save money.
All I can say is "caveat emptor" to those looking to save money.

People comes to the US for medical service that would take years in their own country because of limited resources and staff,
