Beads of sunlight: photographing an annular solar eclipse

An astronomy "picture of the year" bonus. Solar eclipses, while spectacular events to observe, are notoriously hard to photograph (I know from experience). American photographer Ryan Imperio took on the challenge during the 14 October 2023 annular solar eclipse. The end result? Ryan has been crowned the Royal Museums Greenwich Astronomy Photographer of the Year (for 2024). Check it out.
