Good afternoon, Rallypoint, and welcome to the September 1st edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD). Looks like Luna couldn't wait to try on her Saturn costume for Halloween 2024. Actually, this image is from the APOD archives in 2019, just before the Moon slid in front of the Sun for a solar eclipse to close out the year. The scene was captured just before sunrise in Guatemala with the Pavaca volcano in the background. Cheers.
