A funny story:
1952 we were living outside Sacramento. My Dad and a working buddy had a few beers at the local pub and decided to go "Froggin. They were out most of the night. When they got home, they had this big washtub filled with water and a whole mess of live frogs. They had put a wet burlap bag over the tub, his friend went home, and Dad went to bed.
A little later we were awakened by a loud scream. My Mom had got up and went into the kitchen. Seeing the wash tub, she was curious and lifted the burlap bag. Frogs started hopping out and scattered around the kitchen, then the rest of the house.
We spent hours catching those frogs. As a kid, I thought it was great fun but my Mom was not at all amused.
That night we had a delicious supper of frog legs.
