About an hour ago I brought up the Stolen Valor Act of 2005 to see if Walz claiming he "retired as a Command Sergeant Major" would be thought of as Stolen Valor. I was going to post it as a question here on RP. After reading through the Act I do believe it applies to Walz claiming to have retired as a Command Sergeant Major.
Walz doesn't have the right to say he retired as a Command Sergeant Major when the Army says he will retire as a Master Sergeant. From the attached link: "The Act was passed to address the issue of persons claiming to have been awarded military awards (and rank) to which they were not entitled and exploiting their deception for personal gain." Walz's personal gain is his resume for being Vice President looks much better if he could say he served "and" Retired from an executive position.

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin You say the Gospel Truth sir. He needs to release his DD214 if he’s going to survive… and it better say the right thing.

MSG Greg Kelly actually I recently read what the unit PA posted. He retired as a MSG. This is now fact and I don’t need to see the DD-214. Walz lied.

Making sure to keep himself safe is the best course of action, I sure as hell will vote for Walz!!!!
Um, strike that statement, my brain is not acting right. Maybe I should have resigned my noncommission before my deployments.

Vance is Right and any NCO worth his salt would never have run out on his troops like that.

SFC (Join to see) - I took me years to understand that fear is normal its how we deal with it. I have seen what I thought were very tough men crack under it and those I thought would crack up their game. I am not ashamed to say I was scared everyday which had moments of terror which turned into rage.

MSG Greg Kelly - Maybe you were scared (nothing wrong with that) but you performed your duty with honor the way you were trained and educated.
