The drivers are not driving "Company" cars, they're independents. They don't have shifts to work or a time clock. Really, a union? So, someone else can take a percentage of their earnings. There's going to have to be a lot more regulation on the companies before any of this can happen. Right now the only overhead for them is the IT folks maintaining their servers and networks. As a driver you don't know who is getting in your car, and conversely as a passenger you don't know whose hands your putting your life in when you get in that car.
