Leading from behind doesn't work, poor leadership never does. DEI just magnifies the problem Obama started by putting inexperienced people in positions of responsibility. God help us. They all need to be fired.

The funny thing is, I think few of us would have demanded the USSS Dir be fired if she had just done her job. Instead, she dug in, she misled, and she wasn't upfront. When she started with the slope of the roof as a safety issue, I knew then she was not taking this seriously. Then when blame was cast to the locals, I knew she's done. How this should have been done:

1. Investigate and politely tell everyone we are investigating. As this is a sensitive issue, bring a cleared Trump and Biden observer into the mix too.
2. Get a timeline of everything, everyone, and especially all key players. What did they do during the prevent assessment, ask the hard questions, look internally to the root causes and keep asking questions until each failure has someone conclude "because I was a dumbass". From there build the lessons learned and consider taking action against those who were truly negligent.
3. Make a report for cleared personnel and another for the American Public and be as transparent as possible.

Explain who was responsible to evaluate and secure the perimeter. If the people didn't perform their duties to standard they should have been fired immediately. This isn't a beginner job. Everyone would have been happy with this, without going into detail.
