The ruling was about as middle of the road as you can expect, enough guidance to the lower courts that the cases will end back up in SCOTUS if the rules aren't followed.
The opinion that Thomas wrote on Jack Smith seems to have been missed by most people. He said in no uncertain terms that the Court would not look favorably on the constitutionality of Smith's appointment. Let's see if the Judge picks up on that bit.
