Shopping courts and judges has become a common way to ensure a verdict. It's been the rule in civil litigation for decades. Why did the Class Action against Roundup get tried in San Fransico? Not exactly an agricultural area where people might actually have been effected. They did it because they could have gotten a judgement on Dihydrogen Monoxide in SF.
