Looks sunny, but even if it was raining I doubt it will keep him from visiting the graveyards.

Kinda hard not to do that since it's right there at the top of Omaha. The Brittany American Cemetery is a bit inland, though. Both well worth the visit. They are beautifully maintained in respect of those resting there.

I got to visit Normandy and Brittany a "few" years ago. If you ever get the chance, it's completely worth it. There's so much to do and see there and the people are wonderful. Don't just go to the WWII stuff, but go see the Bayeux Tapestry too.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel President Joe Biden joined French President Emmanuel Macron, Britain's King Charles III and other dignitaries to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day, when the Allied forces launched a surprise attack that helped liberate Europe from Nazi Germany.
"Democracy is never guaranteed," he told the assembled crowd at the Normandy American Cemetery as he honored the veterans who fought in the defining World War II battle and helped defeat Nazi Germany. He went on to praise NATO’s strength and unity, drawing an implicit contrast with his Republican rival, Donald Trump, who aides say considered withdrawing from the alliance.
