In my opinion they've changed their recipe and are not as good as they used to be. They used to melt in your mouth, when hot out of the glaze, with just sweetness, now they have a slight doughy aftertaste.

Many Moons Ago, On The Corners Of Standard & McFadden, In Santa Ana, California,
There Was A Doughnut Shop ~~ "The Donut Hole" Which Made The Greatest Of Donuts, Within Miles ~ Office Works Were Sent TO The "Donut Hole" To Purchase Dozens At A Time ~~ Because It WAS The Absolute Best Around.. And It Was Co-Owned By 4 Brothers, ~~ JIM, MIKE, IAN And ME...

Quite frankly, I KNOW "Krispy Kream" Is Overpriced...
And Not All that Great Either ~~ But that's Where Advertising Has Paid-Off For Them ~~
They CREATED Their Desire And The IDEA Of Being A Premium Product..
Somewhat As A Fad Is Created ~ Therefore Higher Prices.

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney Personally I feel like Dunkin Donuts is who really started the Cold war on the spelling of doughnuts. Here in Oklahoma nobody wants to spell it other than DD's; although I think DD took themselves to a new level of laziness by rebranding to just "Dunkin."
