Jimmy doesn't want to really know why they are that way. Hint, they've been that way for hundreds of years and it's tradition.

I've Been To Japan, And HE's 100% Correct,
As I Was Walking Past A Department Store I Was Ready To Toss Out My Cigarette;
As I Was Holding My Cigarette Butt In The Air And Scanning The Area For A Place To Ditch It.
I Looked Around, And There Was Absolutely NO Litter In The Streets. ~GET THIS~:
A Lady, Whom Appeared To Be In Her Mid 20's, Dashed Outside With An Ashtray In Her Hands & Presented It To Me To Put Out My Cigarette, So I'd Not Litter The Sidewalk In Front Of Their Store.
"YES", That Clean.. I LOVED Visiting Japan, From South Korea; Where Even The Streets Were Still Dirt Roads....

True, but the South Koreans turned out every Monday and did calisthenics and then swept the streets with small brooms. Very impressive show of unity . . .

Must Have Been In Seoul, Because The Streets
Off Base At Osan, Weren't Paved, They WERE Dirt,
But One Thing For Sure, They're A Very Proud & Patriotic People,
Whom Love Their Country, No Doubt At All; And Fought Like Hell To Keep It
