In defiance of the Biden Administration’s wishes, senior figures within Customs and Border Protection have stated that there are no plans to have Border Patrol agents remove razor wire barriers erected along sections of the border by the Texas National Guard.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - That would be the smart and practical thing to do, especially considering that the places everyone is arguing about are only a small portion of the border. The Texas action was more symbolic than effective.
On the other hand, this is no longer about immigration, it is now about power politics. Biden can't back down in Texas for the same reason that Putin can't back down in Ukraine
