Biden's Refusal to Designate Houthis As Terrorists Sparks Blowback From Military Leaders

That would be an admission that the decision to take them off the terror list was wrong - their only solution is to double down and give them more of our money

I’m not going to delve into the rationale of the Houthis but when the “Terrorist” designation is applied it opens the gates to hell. Right now the Houthis have the upper hand and have basically closed the Red Sea down for vessels traveling to Israel.It’s an economic blockade to put pressure on Israel to stop the bombing of Gaza. It is the insurance companies that are stopping all other merchant ships from entering the Red Sea. If one is inclined to believe Arc Lights over Yemen are the answer, I would counter by asking how successful were they in Afghanistan. A country without any air defense. Starting a war with Yemen will only make matters worse. The Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz are lynch pins it is as simple as that. Bombing Yemen will eventually cause a catastrophe for the world economy. I dare say it would make the wind mill crowd joyful. I expect blowback but finding a solution is what is needed not another war. We’re bankrupting ourselves as it is. As a Nation we need to get a grip, perpetual war is not helping. Why is everywhere more important than our homeland ?
