I heard stories of the Marauders on my father's knee, he was a Crew Chief with the American Transport Command that supported the missions in Burma as well has flying the hump. Stillwell drove that unit into the ground, ended in a Congressional Investigation and an IG investigation. Of the 2,750 to enter Burma, only two were left alive who had never been hospitalized with wounds or major illness."
