The Christmas tumbleweed tree is a drive up I-10 but we haven't gone to see that. We do our own in the front yard. Ristras are always hung in the house (and I always hope I have enough to last until the next year.) And several times the La Posada tradition came past my law office while I was working late at night. One of our local Catholic schools does the La Posada in the Barrio Viejo, usually a week before Christmas, with all the students participating. When I was in the office, they would knock on the door and I would oblige by telling them there was no room at the inn. I've gone to the Christkindlmarkt a few times in Chicago when we lived there. That place is huge and you can find just about anything Christmas related there. I make my own bourbon soaked harvest cake (I hate that candied fruit stuff in a fruitcake). I'd love to do Christmas in Hawaii with a roasted pig luau. That would be pretty neat and tasty. And I'd like to go check out the bayou bonfires, where hopefully they serve up a big steaming bowl of etouffee!
