Apparently, the Army, like the AF is changing its policy amid recruiting woes...The U.S. Army sent a letter to former service members dismissed for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine, informing them they can request corrections of their discharge records, as the military branch reportedly struggles with recruitment three years after the onset of the pandemic. The letter, which gained traction on social media, was addressed to former service members and notified of “new Army guidance regarding the correction of military records for former members of the Army following the rescission of the COVID-19 vaccination requirement.” It states, “as a result of the rescission of all current COVID-19 vaccination requirements, former Soldiers who were involuntarily separated for refusal to receive the COVID-19 vaccination may request a correction of their military records from either or both the Army Discharge Review Board (ADRB) or the Army Board for Correction of Military Records (ABCMR).”

Lt Col Charlie Brown Isn't that sweet of the Army to do the right thing (sarcasm). Since the military flucked up on this they should sweeten the pot to get some service members to return to active duty. Like, restore their rank plus any promotions they may have missed out on during their period of inactive service along with a nice welcome back bonus check. They might be able to get a few to return to active duty but I'd say that would be very few.

That is a great recommendation. And untimately fir - they should throw in any schools they would have missed while they were out of service. As it is they've been 'red-tagged' and will always be held suspect by some commanders.

A young man I know backed out of enlisting into the Army because of that BS with forcing the untested Covid vaccine.

SFC Ralph E Kelley I had a couple students who were planning to join after high school who decided not to because of the COVID mandate. Sure, were only talking about two or three enlistees but that multiply that by the ones we don't know about and that could have been the difference of meeting recruitment goal or not. I don't think the government likes those who think for themselves!
