This Rare Bicentennial Quarter Has Nearly $20K Value — 7 More Worth Over $1,000

Suspect someone found some with defects. Considering all that were sold in the Bicentennial climate the odds of the ones you or I have being that valuable are slim to none, but hey hope springs eternal!

Hi All My Fellow Veterans First of all if this coin has the Double Die Error they should show you the Obverse side and not the reverse side. The error shows 'Strong doubling on all the letters of LIBERTY and upper corners of IN GOD'. This information is listed in the book "Strike It Rich with Pocket Change" 5th Edition. See page 255. Due to the fact that the US Mint made the 1976 dated coins for two years (1975 and 1976) there are millions of each mint. The error is only listed for the Denver (D) minted coins. I do not know where they found the $20K Value as the reference book shows $1,000.00 to $1,500.00 in Uncirculated condition and $250.00 to $500.00 in circulated condition. I think that someone is blowing smoke up someones AZZ and hoping that they do sell a few common Quarters that are only worth $0.25 each at most for a tidy profit. I see these people on E-bay selling coins with missing mint marks of coins that were minted in Philadelphia in the years prior to the US Mint placing the 'P' Mint mark on their coins. Coins minted in 1980 and newer have the small 'P' pint mart on them. Prior to 1980 there was no need for a mint mark as everyone was aware the no mint mark coins were minted at the Philadelphia Mint so no need for a mint mark. I hope this clears up this issue and that none of my Fellow Veterans got taken by a scammer with this SCAM. I Salute All My Fellow Veterans!!! GOD Bless America!!!
