The Freebies are great and I get a lot of people saying "Thank you for your service" . Its a hell of a lot better than when I returned home in 1970. You know that Omaha and Bellevue are very military friendly so I had no problems here. Happy veterans day to you for your service.

SPC Lyle Montgomery Ya, I remember the homecoming in 1970. Fortunately Tampa area is a lot like the Omaha area. Happy Veterans Day to you as well.

We all gave the BEST of us with HONORS, many of us need to get out the 4 walls and socialize with others veterans and civic groups. Back in the 70’s there was no freebies for active or veterans.

If I eat at a restaurant qith a free meal I tip the waiter the cost of the meal...plus I isually order something off the regular menu to be able to leave a little more...then I patronize the establisnment for supporting veterans.

Thanks Ann for the military deals on veterans day. Bomgarrs gives vets a 10% deal always, and Northern tool. My wife and I are going to Olive Garden later Today. I eat there often anyhow.

Have a good time SPC Lyle Montgomery. My husband (an Army vet) and I are taking advantage of Texas Roadhouse and Biggby today.

YES, Texas roadhouse was overloaded, but service was 5 star., & delicious. Our biggest challenge was getting out of the parking lot.
