IMHO, the way Lynch has been treated by Americans - including Pentagon Brass - is not all that much better than her treatment by the enemy.
She was set up for failure, captured, wrongly lionized, scapegoated, then vilified, before ultimately being grudgingly accepted.
Lynch's true story of perseverance is not her 9 days of captivity, IMHO. It is the following 9 YEARS of misinformation.
