What a confusing article Brother Dale. It starts out by saying Johnny served his country in the Army Air Corp. I couldn't figure this out since he had the rank of Ensign. Then they got it right with the U.S. Navy. Comedy just came naturally to him. Rest In Peace Ensign Johnny Carson.
