I just turned down Goggle's offer to manage my "fitbit". I use it for a step counter and to remind me to move....otherwise, stay out of my business...

The more info we provide, the more these companies expect!!! How to stop it? Don't give them anything about your personal info, period!!!

"Eighteen major hospital systems were sued this year for sharing patients’ sensitive health data with Google, Facebook and other tech giants in violation of privacy laws, according to Becker’s Hospital Review."
"While many employers are so vigilant about respecting the guidelines of the HIPAA privacy laws, large tech companies basically get a pass." And they also want to charge subscriptions!
Totally criminal. And it is not only health care information being sold. How can any of it be stopped unless there are class actions that sues for damages? Then the cost of medical care would increase and pharmaceuticals would increase.
The for-profit "needs" of advertising is totally out of control, apparently without efforts to put a stop to it. The purchasing of information should also be a violation.
