From the link: "after he allegedly assaulted and threatened his then-girlfriend in a parking lot." I don't know if Rahimi was charged with of felony level assault. I think it makes a difference.
I think it reasonable,
-if a prosecutor gets an indictment for felony level assault, the person should be automatically subject to a restraining order, pending trial.
-if the subject of a restraining order, violates that restraining order, they should be required to turnover their firearms pending trial for the assault
-Regardless of the outcome of the trial, if the subject of a restraining order, violates that restraining order and has to turnover their firearms, the firearms should not be returned for some pre-determined time (perhaps 6-12months). And an administrative hearing should periodically determine whether or not to return the firearms.

SGT (Join to see) - I would disagree. Taking a shot at a LEO could have resulted in an attempted murder charge which apparently did not occur. The past criminal behavior plus the DVRO should preclude him from having a weapon. Then again this will be just one of the many cases that will be ligated under the new SCOTUS test on gun restrictions. An avenue that can be turned against gun owners. Sometimes its best to leave things alone but I'm so afraid that SCOTUS has handed the anti-gun folks the weapon needed to undo the 2A

SFC Ralph E Kelley - Had the same issue when using my phone and finally started using my laptop. Its quite the difference in experience in using a laptop vs a cell phone.

SGT (Join to see) - There's a lot wrong with the way LE handled Rahimi's behavior before and after the DVRO. I'm not seeing how Bruen gave the controllers any kind of leverage to "undo the 2A".
