This is reprehensible. Townhall: The initial hours of the assault saw hundreds of Israelis murdered, thousands wounded, and dozens more kidnapped by Hamas operatives. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to turn all Hamas hiding spots in Gaza into rubble, warning civilians to flee. He also vowed to wipe out Hamas in Gaza essentially. The attacks on innocent Israelis in Southern Israel reportedly included the rape of young girls. And yet, the liberal media reaction to Hamas’ terrorist attack that sparked a new war is as expected—they blame Israel or insinuate that they had it coming. The New York Times, CNN, and MSNBC were all had their ‘those poor Palestinian terrorists’ talking points .

Hamas needs to be ground into dust and Gaza leveled so those that remain are kept busy rebuilding instead of murdering the innocent.

It may be time to go after the root cause. Israel has been very restrained in responding to the threats that surround them. Yes, they now report having resecured their border with Gaza and are now working on eliminating their ability to attack directly from there. Everyone (outside the Biden administration) knows this attack is funded and supported by Iran. Even mainstream media is now reporting that. Israel obviously knows this. I will not be surprised when the first phase of stopping the immediate threat and returning those POWs still alive to freedom starts the next phase - eliminating the threat posed by the hate mongers in the infrastructure supporting Hamas and Hezbollah, the extremists in Iran. It may be time for Teheran to experience the wrath of Israel.

Lt Col Mark Avery: Indeed and the nucleus of this entire terrorist attack and organization needs to be totally destroyed: oil complexes, nuclear sites and military installations. Absent those, terrorist groups will be crippled and defunded and other terrorist supporting countries will think twice about getting involved. Bomb them to hell from which they came.

We must be careful to avoid ethnocentriciy - assuming the other culture thinks and acts based on the same perspectives and logical conclusions we have. In this case, the terrorist groups are only stopped when there is no ability to think twice, not simply when their ability to attack is crippled and defunded. Leaving even a shred of the movement means it will again fester and grow into the threat it currently is. They have proven this far too many times, but we fail to learn the lesson. We half learned it after 9/11/2001 but have since lost the bubble. I suspect the cycle will be repeated again, but I hope not in Israel. If they choose to continue the battle until the threat is completely eliminated, there could be a chance for lasting peace there. Unfortunately, I suspect their allies, both there and here, will abandon them long before that battle is complete. We must do everything we can to ensure this country stands with them for as long as it takes. Week-kneed statements from the White House and in the UN must not be tolerated.
