Competed against MIT in college. Never forgot the words to their cheer. Rutgers (@ link) notwithstanding.

SGT Charlie Lee - With some exceptions, most races are 2000 meters long. Times vary if there is a headwind and or if one is going against or with the current. Also depends on if the water is smooth or choppy so times can be misleading when trying to compare them. In general and depending on conditions a good time will vary from either side of 6 minutes for a 2K. Came in 4th at National Collegiate Championship Finals behind Wisconsin, Brown and Northeastern and ahead of Penn and MIT. A number of my teammates continued rowing past college and medaled at the World Championships and @ the Olympics. And --> adding a great book and link to the trailer for a phenomenal movie.
