Lt Col Charlie Brown Fights happen everywhere at schools but before school, in between classes, and after school we are in the hallways watching for students acting stupid. If there was supervision in the hall it may have still happened but not as bad.

You likely couldn't stop it from starting but you can pretty quickly quell it IF you are out on hall patrole as our teachers were during all class changes

1) This is a dishonorable, disgusting, and uncalled for attack. I want to be clear on that. No one, regardless of ideology, should condone this sort of behavior.
2) That being said, "trans identity" has nothing to do with this story. It was one student beating down another in the hallway. It wasn't in the bathroom or locker room or women's therapy group or anything like that. This beat down could have happened in the same location and the same manner regardless of a trans identity or lack thereof.
3) There is definitely a lack of supervision in that hall, and *that* is where the school failed. *That* is what needs to be looked in to.
4) No, Riley, the fact that a bunch of people filmed it does *not* mean it was planned. Kids today have cell phones. And they take them with them EVERYWHERE. Including to class and from class to class. They already had their phones on them. And they know how to use them like you would not believe. Those kids can take their phone from locked, off, and in their pocket, to open and recording in less than a second. In the Army we trained so that things like unloading and reloading a magazine was muscle memory, and we could do it without thinking or looking. Kids today are the same with their phones.
This is disgusting. But the rhetoric surrounding this attack which is reflected in the article is uncalled for.

I agree with you. It didn't happen in the bathroom or locker room so "trans" is not the issue. School supervision is...want to bet there is no uniformed school resource officer?
