Even climate change fanatic Canadians don't regulate muscle cars. Listen to this 55 Chevy Rumble Buy. It is not stock and it has a 555 cubic inch engine with a supercharger.

LTC (Join to see) The Wright Brothers airplane could barely carry 2 people when it was first introduced. But look at what smart investment and technology has done to aircraft today. Seriously, stop thinking like a horse trader when the first motorized vehicles were introduced. The transition will take decades, just like it did from wagons to trucks. I can remember local horse drawn delivery wagons in the 50s, so thinking its going to be efficient and happen overnight is pretty naive, but it will happen.

LTC (Join to see) I love them and have driven several over the years, traded my 57 Chevy BelAir with small block V8 for the car in the picture when I graduated college. But they went out of vogue long before electric vehicles for a reaon.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen I have a 1966 Mustang that has a 289 V8 but my 2015 Dodge Challenger with a V6 has as much horsepower Shelby 289 with a solid lifter cam and 305 horsepower well mine has 305 horsepower in the vehicle. It could get 30 miles per gallon on the highway and 20 in the city. It's quiet, it's not noisy, my stereo surround sound system and b o s e stereo system is awesome. Satellite Radio, is quiet so yes, having a super duty 455 V8 with smelly exhaust and racing cam is something you would have if you would have had a GTO Judge. But I bet you couldn't get over 10 to 12 miles per gallon. Yes, maybe Sunday they'll have a power pack similar to something that you would have in the Galileo shuttle from Star Trek that has unlimited power. For the time being, it doesn't work well. Good analogy with the Wright brothers. I just think it shouldn't be forced on us it should come as it becomes mature not forced on us like a fascist dictator like President Biden has mandated.
I remember in 2016 I had a Ford Fusion four-door rental car. It had a 205 horsepower V6 plus it was battery operated. It could get over 50 miles per gallon and it was an excellent hybrid vehicle. Ford stop selling it because it made more money on their big pickup trucks. I feel that the automakers are going to be stuck with Edsel like cars that nobody wants to buy but big government socialism is forcing it upon us. Recently, former house Speaker Newt Gingrich coined the term big government socialism to the regulatory state. That's what President Biden has put us in. That's why president Biden is in jeopardy. Even if president Trump is ruled out of the ballot, you will see all the other Republicans do pretty much everything that Trump has suggested and we will return back to normal and big government socialism through the regulatory States will be put on hold or destroyed altogether. The Auto Workers are striking because of inflation. Yes, they haven't got a cost of living increase since 2008 but it came to critical mass with the 17% inflation caused by this stupid Administration. They also know that 40% of their people are going to lose their jobs and there's no guarantee that they will keep their jobs because factories could be built in other states that are non-union

And if it does, watch them move to places like Orange County who've given Gavin Newsom the middle finger when I came to those BS mandates on masking up.
Some will move out of state.

The U.S. could go to zero carbon emissions, but if China, India, Brazil , Indonesia, Russia, etc. don't do the same -- it means nothing

Democrats don't care at all. And the change in temperature may be one half of 1° C over 50 years so not worth a trillions of dollars except I think some of the Democrats like it because they've invested in green energy and they make money off of it
