Had no idea U.S.A. had not ratified The Convention on the Rights of the Child!
I have a U.N. booklet from over 50 years ago about the the Rights of the Child covering the main points. Apparently until 1989 it was not an actually adopted as a Convention.

Here is the OHCHR document saying it was not adopted until 1989.
