MAJ., Thank You Sir, for This Outstanding Post of A True Here from Nam!!! My Brother in Law was a Crew Chief and Mechanic on a Huey stationed at Cu Chi in 1969-1970. He Even rode one chopper down and received the Bronze Star. We Graduated HS together and were more Brothers than Brother in Law. I Appreciate The Tribute You’ve Share of A Teue Hero!!! God bless Bruce Crandell and all those men, and women, like him. Truly an extremely courageous man. His crew was as well but they were just along for the ride after he committed them.

For my lousy two cents worth I think all those chopper pilots and crews that flew the missions,be it Medivac,air assault,resupply,gunship suppression etc ,should have received medals,awards and recognition for their outstanding bravery,they certainly earned them, Welcome Home Brothers.
