The quote doesn't lose it's importance by where it came from. Attribution can be fixed, but the text of the quote is truth. The libs can't abide by that truth so they have to slam the source.
If nothing else, the left is dogged in their search for information that might be used against a conservative.

This seems to happen a lot with some politicians who read fringe media that has not been verified! I can’t remember the name of the republican who is running for a senate seat in Maine, but he had read some fringe article about children dressing up as Furrys in school, and the school gave them litter boxes to use in the classrooms… He said that they were in one of the local counties in Maine. Of course he was 100% incorrect and no such thing had ever happened or does happen. That same story was then taken and attributed to many other states and towns as being true.
Just to show how stupid unverified things like this can continue traveling, I ran into an old friend and his wife had mentioned something about it, believing that it was true. Out of respect for my friend, I did not confront her with the truth at that time. I will, however, mention it to him when I see him alone next.

People seem to forget about the Mayflower Compact and the fact that not all who were on that boat were Christians. They traveled solely for the purpose of finding a land where everyone could practice their beliefs equally without rebuke.
