Sir, do you support a formal and all-out declaration of war as of today? Actual declared war with another nuclear nation and Putin at the helm?

Because admitting Ukraine to NATO REQUIRES an accompanying declaration of war by every single member state. I do not believe that is a good idea. You may disagree.

I do not disagree, in fact I agree 100%. Admitting Ukraine to NATO would be an act of war against Russia. Full stop.

It is my understanding that NATO candidacy process is a long drawn out procedure, but they can take shortcuts like they did with Finland.
Perhaps the delay is do to Ukraine's history with the USSR.

Approving Ukraine as a member of NATO would go against every treaty and agreement ever made with Russia/Soviet Union. It would be an act of war.

Countries are forbidden to join NATO if they have an ongoing border or military conflict within the country. The internal conflict with the Donbass and Luhansk before either Russian intervention would prohibit their membership. It is meant to prevent situations like this one.
