Remember that India and China were fighting in the Himalayas. People who immigrated from India have told me that if the United States goes to war with china, India will join the United States side and Pakistan will join the Chinese side.

While the two countries have tense relationships, I believe this is being done to hide China's decline from the world.

Their decline is only domestically. Like our democrat "leadership" they want to control all aspects of their society. I honestly think that in the next few years that there will be severe turmoil in China, as well as here, and that the military will be called to intervene to maintain the party. The difference here is that I don't think that there are many service members who would fire on US citizens. China has proven time and again that they do not value life in the least.
