Fox loses $500 million in value after announcing Tucker Carlson is leaving

LTC Trent Klug I want a news source with right bias, just like ones with left bias. But I also want it paired with normal journalistic ethics around factual reporting and lack of fear mongering. I'm glad they got rid of him and I'm glad CNN got rid of their last one in that genre (Don Lemon).

I hope the era of news sources becoming opinion factories is waning and "just the facts" can come back. Having said that, a balance of editorial bias between different networks is a good thing since some editorial bias is almost unavoidable.

The problem with 'fact-checkers' is that they bring their bias into whatever 'fact' they are checking. Don't care if they have a left-bias or a right-bias, it's still a bias towards what is 'factual' and what isn't (good article regarding fact checkers here*).

Is something false because CNN publishes it? How about Fox News? My view is the answer to both is 'maybe'. That's why the prudent consumer of information should never believe what a news source presents to them, because even if every single word is completely true, that doesn't mean they gave the context of the information nor all of it.

That's why I like sites like AllSides.com and Ground.news which show you aggregated stories about a subject and allow you to read both sides of the issue and draw your own conclusions.
