The Democratic Party’s weaponization of the legal process has dealt a blow to the faith that Americans have in the system itself with an overwhelming majority now feeling that the country has crossed over into banana republic territory.
In a troubling snapshot of public sentiment taken after the unprecedented arrest of former President Donald J. Trump in a politically motivated prosecution brought by shady Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, an overwhelming majority of respondents agreed that the case was “banana republic sort of stuff.”
New polling by Rasmussen Reports shows that a whopping 64 percent see the felony charges against Trump in the case that centers around an alleged hush money payment to pornographic movie “actress” Stormy Daniels as the stuff of countries where dictators in mirrored sunglasses routinely throw political opponents into prison, until recently, a practice that ran counter to everything that the United States of America has stood for.
