Spend the extra few bucks at the car wash & have the underbody blasted a few times a year, especially if you live where they salt the roads.
If I had to move to snow country, locating a shop that did Ziebart rustproofing on vehicles would be high on my list. I started hearing that name as a kid growing up in Buffalo.

SSG Dennis R. when I get the Jeep washed every month, I always get the underbody wash. Getting Ziebart is a good idea on a new vehicle (just remember to get it washed before hand, because they'll ask). I've only had one brand new truck, IMHO I'd save your money if you get a used vehicle, unless you get it in the summer months & it's never seen a winter.
