I saw this mentioned by the VFW yesterday. With all the issues and bloat that appear in the federal budget, the 10 individuals, who have never served a day in their life, want to revise disability payments to veterans ... because too many survive wars and have injuries that can be adapted to in a work environment!?
Hey ... lost those legs there huh? Don't worry, we'll get you a desk job! Payments denied!

Some veterans are injured in training accidents, are those 10 going to target them because their injuries don’t merit the strength of a combat injury. Our silent war (Cold War) produced enough casualties and injuries itself.

Kipling said it best:
"For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an` Chuck him out, the brute! "
But it's " Saviour of 'is country " when the guns begin to shoot;
An' it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' anything you please;
An 'Tommy ain't a bloomin' fool - you bet that Tommy sees!"
