A Boston public school elicited outrage among parents this week when it presented pre-teen students with an explicit survey asking them about their sexual history, including whether they've performed oral sex. A copy of the survey shows it inquired about the pre-teens' risk behavior, with several questions asking about their sexual history. "Have you ever participated in oral sex?" one question asked. "Oral sex is when a person puts their mouth on another person's genitals or private area," the survey explained.

That is Horrible! Fist its not the schools business, second theses are little kids, they should not be sexually active and if truth be known i would bet very few are. Someone needs to be Tar Feathered and run out of town on a rail, firing is too lenient.

Maj John Bell It is used to structure sex Ed curriculums. You must understand the audience if you expect to craft a course that meets the needs of the students you're teaching. Abstinence may sound great but not if your going to teach students who are already actively engaged in sexual activity.

What specifically are you expecting the school to teach if:
-the kid's are engaging in oral sex? Or if they are not?
-the kids are transgender? Or if they are not?
-the kid's are LGBTQIA+? Or if they are not?
Will you separate them into classes? Kids who perform fellatio go to classroom A. Cunnilingus classroom C. etc. etc. etc.
That seems to me you are then advocating instruction in sexual technique. Once again, NOT the school's place and I seriously doubt that sexually active school kids really need any assistance on technique.

The school system has no business asking these questions and it is time to clean the schools of this dangerous philosophy. Furthermore, the trouble goes back to the state capitals where the legislatures decide what cirruculm to teach. Time to contact your representatives!
