I've had it happen once. I found the guy thanks to a bank employee. The police were called and I was told I'd be arrested as the crime was against the financial institution and not actually me.

The cop did say he sympathized and wanted to look the other way while I beat him, but he sent me packing.

Very sad. My credit card bought a rail ticket in DC. My stepson’s credit card took a vacation to South America.

American Express called me late one evening, years ago, asking if I was purchasing an airline ticket from Portugal to South America. I said, no, he replied they didn’t think so either, so they never let the transaction go through. I had a new card at 1000 the next morning.
