He's not going to be asked to return to these shows much longer by asking simple questions and making the hosts look like the non-journalists they are

Just because a President CAN declassify documents doesn't mean that he DID declassify documents. And, just because a President DID declassify documents doesn't mean that he SHOULD HAVE declassified documents. This is all just political spin to try to make what Biden did wrong, without having to acknowledge what Trump did was wrong. Either they were both wrong, and everyone should just agreed to that, or everyone should just shut up and move along. I defend neither Trump nor Biden on this topic.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth - Trump said that he declassified them, but there has been no evidence that he actually did declassify them. Everything I've seen and heard is that his comments were either after-the-fact attempts to clean up the mess or an unexecuted attempt to declassify them. A President can't just waive his hand over a document and declassify them. A formal process still exists. And, Trump's place wasn't raided "military style". It was raided "DOJ style" after a request to turn over the documents and after a subpoena. I agree that they should go after both or leave both alone. I just want consistency.

LTC Kevin B. - Actually a President can wave his hand and declassify...but there is aprocess afterwords for his flunkies to ensure the tracking is complete.
OK...DOJ style...why not a Bidens house after the first finding of the documents? or the second finding?
I agree on the consistency but so far there has been none. It has been one sided in the way they have gone after each one and the media coverage of it as well. Just do it across the board or don't do it at all. If they don't go after them and investigate, it will leave precedent for fture cases involving classified documents. IMHO!!!

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth - Well, there's no evidence that he told any flunkies to process anything. And, even if he did, he should give them sufficient time and ensure that the declassification actually takes place. I disagree that there has been inconsistency. Sure, the response has been different, but the scenarios are quite different. One person 'fessed up, handed over everything, and is fully cooperating. The other denied having anything, wouldn't give up everything, and hasn't cooperated. That doesn't imply that Biden gets a pass. It just means what he did hasn't been deemed (yet) as problematic as what Trump did.

LTC Kevin B. - He fessed up on the first data...the others he acted like he didn't know but yes they are both guilty.
