I get 4 government checks every month (Army retirement, VA disability, and paychecks from my state government job on 1st and 16th). No matter how bad inflation gets, I keep getting raises to keep up.

Ain't life grand?

SFC Casey O'Mally Life is grand, but even though you have a good income you're not keeping up with the inflation we're experiencing. The inflation is eating at our capital gains in our retirement accounts, the CPI increases we receive are less than the inflation rate, making our disposable income a depreciating commodity.

For those of us making a good income the financial hurt locker is not as painful, especially if we're empty nesters. For others the pain is real and should we experience the Greece affect everyone will feel the pain.

Enjoy your day and stay healthy.

SPC Jeff Daley, PhD I appreciate your input.

The above was written more sarcastic / tongue in cheek highlighting the "we'll just print more" attitude out government has taken toward inflation.
