Well, since I can't read it I have to assume it's about the discovery of the USS Samuel B. Roberts DE-413 which was just a little deeper at 22,621' than the USS Johnston DD-557 at 21,180'. The two deepest know shipwrecks, both fairly intact considering.

She's in remarkable condition all things considered. Some of her planes are lying near by looking almost brand new.

The Battle of Leyte Gulf, from October 23-26, 1944, was the largest air and sea battle of World War II. An important part of the battle took place off Samar Island on October 25, 1944.
