Amazing how some young men lied about their ages to get in and then preformed like incredible troopers...can't imagine the average 16 year old today!

Thank You Maj., for Sharing This Photo and Historical Events as Japanese POW’s. One of our Uncle’s (who survived the sinking of his ship, USS Canopus, a Sub Tender, off Corregidor, and taken there days before it was taken by Japanese. He (A Navy Machinist Mate Chief), lost his left arm defending the beaches of Corregidor and taken prisoner. Caught up with the Bataan Death March and spent three and a half years as a POW. He and his POW Camp was rescued by the Silent Rangers. A documentary show showing this event was shown on TV. That picture brought back memories!!! Doc
