Truly an inspiration. I read with interest about the 6888th gladly working around the clock (24 by 7) to sort out the mail issues and to get letters to the servicemembers.
I was reminded of the early days of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. While I was there, I read about a reserve postal unit that had "gone on strike" because they were working long hours six days a week (note: This is not a ding on the reserves, just the attitude of those Soldiers). Much different behavior than these women!
Glad they finally got the recognition they deserved.
